Though, as big of a Bond fan I am, I'm not planning to seeing Quantum of Solace (imdb) tonight. *GASP*! I do plan to see it tomorrow though! My plan is to get up early tomorrow and to try to get to Disneyland at or near opening. I really want to get some pictures of the park in the morning sunlight because most of the ones I've taken so far were in the afternoon or evening. Also I think I will stop over at DCA to get pics of the construction. I decided to do an Disneyland-only visit and forgo DCA last time, but I feel the Tower of Terror and Screamin' calling me to come ride. I have to say the Tower of Terror thrills me every time. The idea of the falling elevator freaks me out (I shudder at the beginning of Resident Evil), and Tower of Terror really gets my adrenaline pumping. I do have a recommendation to improve your ride: when you buckle your seat belt, leave about 1 to 2 inches of slack. It's not enough to be dangerous at all, but it's just enough for you to feel the sensation of being lifted up off your seat when the car plummets from the top. Last time I rode, I had this woman next to me and at the beginning of every drop she would grab my knee, then she would apologize profusely as we were pulled back up, only to grab my knee again on the next drop.
Ok, so quick change of subject (in my mind there was a segue — not a Segway). Many people complain about the 'elbow handlers' on the Jungle Cruise. As people enter the boat, the Cast Members working the dock-to-boat transition make it a point to touch everyone's elbow as they get on. Some people ignore it, some people make a comment, and I've even seen others snatch their elbow away, as if someone was trying to steal it. Well, I've always wondered if it was a really needed practice until I read this entry on 'Jungle is 101': Man (er, uh...Kid) Overboard!!So next time you're boarding the Jungle Cruise and the Cast Member holds your elbow as you get on, be glad you weren't that kid.
